What Do We Believe?

Carry-the-CrossSalvation is a Gift
The Bible teaches that there is only one way to salvation. The way is NOT church membership, NOT good works, NOT a good moral life. The Way is Jesus Christ.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.” – John 14:6

The Bible says salvation is a gift of God and not of works lest any man should boast. – Romans 6:23, Ephesians 2:8-9

If we have anything to do with gaining our salvation by something we do except throwing ourselves on the mercy of God, then salvation would not be the gift of God, but partly the gift of God and partly the work of man.

God gives this new life through the miracle of the new birth.

Jesus said, “You must be born again.” Jesus said, “Unless a man is born again (that is to have a time and place in his life when he was born spiritually by confessing his sin, confessing his need of the Savior and receiving him as Savior) he cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven.”

The Bible says, “To as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God.” – John 1:12
